George, and is the second biggest city in Washington County. The town/city administration has tried to encourage the use of the name "Washington City" in recent years, relying on old pioneer documents from the 19th Century that use that term, but many metros/cities haphazardly added "City" to early documents when it was never intended that the metros/cities involved use "City" as part of their names.
